We decided to run a test using a tool called Bitcatcha, which works a little differently than other website speed testing tools. With Bitcatcha, you can analyze server response time worldwide ignoring the content of the site.
It averages loading speeds from eight different global locations: New York, Los Angeles, London, Brazil, India, Singapore, Japan, and Australia. The speed for each location is measured three separate times, and the results are then averaged.
With this test, we would get a broader view of how our server responds globally to page requests.
