News Desk: Major General Susane Giti, a professor of the Army Medical Corps, has become the first woman to be promoted to the rank of Major General in the Bangladesh Army. On Sunday (September 30), Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed and Lieutenant General Shamsul Haque bestowed the rank on her at the Army Headquarters. Army officials were present at the time.
With the promotion, Susane Giti will now take charge as the Commandant of the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology.
It is worth mentioning that Major General Susane Giti passed her MBBS from Rajshahi Medical College in 1985. Then in 1986, she joined the Bangladesh Army as a female doctor with the rank of Captain. She became the first woman to obtain an FCPS degree in hematology in 1996. She has also served as a pathology specialist in UN peacekeeping missions and various military hospitals. She is currently working as the Head of the Department of Pathology at the Armed Forces Medical College.

The ISPR statement mentioned that Major General Susan Giti's husband, c level contact list Brigadier General Asadullah Md. Hossain Saad (Retd), was a successful military specialist physician. This puja is held every year in autumn to remember Lord Ganesha. This is the third time that this puja has been organized at Jayakali Temple under the initiative of Feni Ganesh Puja Celebration Committee. On the occasion of the puja, religious discussions, mother puja, painting, verses from the Gita, evening aarti and religious speech competition have been organized. The concluding day of this two-day puja is today.
