7 of the Top 10 Factors That Influence SEO Ranking Are Social

Post by roseline371274 »

It is important that you know the factors that influence SEO ranking , because if there is something that is a constant in the world of positioning, it is change. But in recent years, since the emergence of Google Panda, change has been following the same line or direction.

Search engines are increasingly trying to improve the quality of their results through user-provided metrics . Not only usability and user experience, but also social metrics.

This is the conclusion reached by Searchmetrics analysts after analyzing more than three hundred thousand URLs that appeared in Google results, for ten thousand of the most in-demand keywords, in various fields and topics.

Since the emergence of Google Panda, there has been talk of “ content being king ” and the recommendation to create “ quality content for users ”. While this has some truth and sense, more than one person has wondered netherlands phone number example what factors influence SEO  ranking or “ how does Google measure what is quality content and what is not? ” And this is where usability factors and social factors come into play. It is the users themselves who “tell” Google whether the content is quality or not ; whether the result that the search engine offered them is useful for them or not.

How to measure relevant or quality content?
From Searchmetrics’ extensive study of over 100 pages, many conclusions can be drawn regarding the state of SEO and positioning today. But the most surprising thing is that 7 of the 10 most important SEO ranking factors  in Google are social. And of the remaining 3 factors, one has to do with user usability. Leaving only two metrics in the top ten for site factors per se .

Here we see the importance of social factors as determinants of the quality or usefulness of a result provided by Google, and the use of these metrics as ranking factors. That is, if users enter your page, and comment on it or share it on social networks, then for Google this is a page that is useful to them and therefore, it will rank better in subsequent searches for the same term or keyword.

And it is important to mention here that usability factor that I just mentioned: the click-through rate (CTR or Click-Through Rate). Basically, what this rate measures is how many users enter a given result on the Google results page. The more people click on a particular result, Google understands that it is the most relevant for that search and therefore positions it better.

Google also measures the Bounce Rate, which occurs when a user clicks on a search result but quickly returns to it without interacting or staying on the page long enough. This is a negative metric, so we should always try to keep it at low levels. That's why it's important to take into account all the factors that influence SEO ranking .

Still not using Google+?
Among the most important social factors for positioning, Google's social network (Google+) undoubtedly takes first place. Not only has it been proven that the number of times a content has been shared through Google+ is a very important factor for positioning in said search engine, but this importance can also be understood by common sense.

Google has been unsuccessful in its attempts to become part of the social media ecosystem. First with Google Wave and then with Google+, its attempts failed to offer something new to the public, who decided to stick with what they already had instead of opting for Google's new option. However, the investment in both systems was not small and Google wants it to work, hence the emphasis on its own social network as a positioning parameter in search results pages.
