We have another interesting solution in electronic banking in Poland. mBank, like five other banks, has enabled its customers to make transactions using a mobile phone. Without the need to use a debit card issued as standard for an account. The new mobile payment system is called BLIK. It is the next stage in the development of electronic banking towards mobile solutions.
BLIK system capabilities
Currently, the BLIK functionality is available in the mobile applications of six leading banks in Poland
. The organizations promoting this standard are ING Bank Śląski, Bank Zachodni WBK, mBank (described on the blog in the entry suggesting how to open an account in mBank ), Alior Bank, PKO Bank Polski and Bank Milenium. Such a large and strong group has a fairly large advantage on the market over the solutions of the competition, such as the alternative system of the Pekao SA bank. Which allows us to assume that BLIK will soon become a standard in Polish mobile payments.
smartphone-phone
The BLIK system enables cash withdrawals from ATMs, payments in el salvador whatsapp database and on the Internet. Without the need to carry a debit card. However, die-hard supporters of payment cards can currently also use BLIK, which is free at mBank as an emergency option. For example, in the event of a lost or stolen card or simple forgetfulness (not taking a wallet from home). At mBank, we can currently also pay and withdraw funds with a smartphone in the event of blocking a lost card, provided that the card has not expired at that time.
Mobile transactions via smartphone
IKO app from InteligoBLIK theoretically allows you to become independent from debit cards and NFC contactless stickers and key rings. All you need is a smartphone with the current mobile application of the bank and Internet access. On devices that support this standard, you will usually find a sticker or information about BLIK acceptance. At the cash register in a store, you inform the seller that you intend to pay by phone using the mobile application.
All you need to do is log in to the "app" on your phone using your PIN number. BLIK generates a six-digit code confirming the transaction.
